Launch a token
Open launch, choose token, and fill in four steps: identity, share the fees, review and sign, announce.
A launch is final. The name, ticker, category, creator tax, opening fee, fee sharing and when trading opens cannot change after launch. You can change the image, the pitch and the links later, from the token's page. A new image is checked like the first.
Identity#

Share the fees#
Your token earns creator fees on every trade. You can split them with other wallets or X accounts: see Share creator fees.
Under advanced you can add a creator tax: an extra charge on every trade, paid to the token's creators. The form shows the highest tax allowed. A value above it is refused, never lowered for you.
Every launch also has an opening fee: an extra charge on buys that falls to zero after trading opens, so the first buyers cannot snipe the launch cheaply. By default it starts at the highest rate allowed and falls to zero over 5 minutes. You can lower it, set it to zero, or change how long it takes to fall. A value above what is allowed is refused, never lowered for you.
When trading opens#
By default, trading opens right away: shortly after the launch confirms. Under when trading opens you can choose a later time instead, counted from the launch, such as 1 hour after it. The form offers only the times allowed right now and shows when your choice would land in your own time zone.
Nobody can trade before then, you included. Until trading opens, the token's page and the desk show how long is left.
Schedule ahead#
You can announce a launch before you make it. Under when trading opens, choose pick a date and set a time up to 30 days ahead. When that time is further away than a launch can wait, the button reads schedule and nothing is signed: comfy keeps the name, ticker, image, pitch and links, and gives the launch its own page, which shows how long is left until trading opens.
Close to that time, the page offers you launch now. It opens this form filled in from the schedule, and the launch you sign opens trading at the time you scheduled. If you arrive a few minutes late, you can still launch: trading then opens shortly after your launch. Until you launch you can edit the schedule or call it off from its page. A schedule you do not launch in time lapses.
Review and sign#
The cost card lists every charge a trade of your token will carry, and who receives what. It also says whether your launch is free of gas: see Free launches.
- Connect and sign in.
- Sign the launch.
When your launch is free, you only sign: comfy sends the transaction for you, so your wallet shows a signature request, not a transaction. Otherwise your wallet sends one transaction.
Trading opens when you chose: right away, or at the later time you picked. There is no first buy.
Announce#
After launch, comfy drafts a post. Edit it, then post on X or Farcaster, or copy the link.
